Branding

The Refugee Rights Project uses social media to explain complicated policy and terminology, and to inspire young people to take action in support of people on the move.

The organisation already had a font and colour-scheme, but they needed a full brand developed to inspire their popular Instagram feed, and a website to give them a more official digital presence.

The crossing lines in The Refugee Rights Project logo represent the movement of displaced people around the globe, whilst also forming a powerful mark representative of casting a vote and having your voice heard.

Promotion

The Refugee Rights Project is a campaign group that protests for the rights of refugees through education. For this reason it seemed appropriate to brand them in a grassroots, do-it-yourself style using cut-out, collage-style photography. This is then juxtaposed by the use of geometric shapes and wiggly lines that rein the designs in to ensure that the brand is still seen as a professional outfit with a serious message.

Digital

The Refugee Rights Project website development on devices

The role of the website is to provide more information on the background and mission of The Refugee Rights Project – to give the organisation a more powerful digital presence and to showcase their latest Instagram posts.

We carried the pre-existing Instagram font and colour scheme through to the website design, and then introduced the punk-inspired photography and geometric shapes from their promotional work. The website was built in Wordpress, and is now updated internally by The Refugee Rights Project team.
