SameYou is a charity working to develop better recovery treatment for survivors of brain injury and stroke. It was launched in 2019 by the actress Emilia Clarke, who experienced two brain aneurysms during the filming of Game of Thrones.
Me And You Create has been working with SameYou since 2019 to produce a broad range of printed and digital promotions including: editorials, fundraising packs, social media campaigns, t-shirts and more. Below you’ll see some pages from a report that we designed which presents the voices of brain injury survivors.
The bold, uppercase font was hand drawn and developed uniquely for SameYou. The meaning behind the quotes from survivors have been highlighted throughout the report through the use of typographic layouts – all written in this bespoke font.
The idea that brain injury leaves a person feeling like they’ve been broken and then put back together again is central to SameYou’s message. Therefore this idea was carried through the report, and can be felt through the use of ‘broken’ graphic imagery and distressed textures.
