Community Action for Refugees & Asylum Seekers (CARAS) helps new arrivals to the UK.
CARAS is a leading refugee charity in South-West London. They provide firm foundations for new-arrival asylum seekers to build happy and successful lives.
CARAS needed a new website to promote their services to refugees and asylum seekers, supporters and funders, and the local community. They needed to keep the existing logo, brand colours and fonts, but were looking for a bright new website that used these existing styles.
We developed a playful, positive website for CARAS. We put their beneficiaries front-and-centre. Their photos sit over bright background colours that make them jump out of the screen at the viewer. We incorporated horizontal scroll effects throughout the website to include a lot of information in a format that doesn’t overwhelm the visitor.
A donation facility was integrated into the website. This allows CARAS to take secure donations directly through their own website. This has proven to increase donations, and it avoids the expensive fees required by the larger fundraising platforms.
