The IRC responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helping people to survive and rebuild their lives.
The IRC needed their ‘Raise The Bar’ Report and Executive Summary designed, artworked and sent to print in just five days.
Ahead of the 2024 European elections, the IRC needed the ‘Raise The Bar’ Report and Executive Summary designed to present to EU leadership. The aim of the reports was to redefine the EU’s response to humanitarian crises and a changing world of uncertainty.
The two editorials needed to be creative and eye-catching, whilst also following the IRC’s strict brand guidelines. Appropriate images needed to be selected from the IRC’s photo bank, and these had to be applied in sensitive but powerful ways.
The design takes a fresh approach to the IRC’s report designs – using familiar styles in new, eye-catching ways.
Coloured blocks were placed behind the heading text to highlight key information. Quotes were placed on black backgrounds to attract attention, and images were assigned to each quote to help bring emotion to the words. In the Report, each of the seven key chapters follow the same familiar format to make the information easy to digest, and these rules were also assigned to the Executive Summary.
David Miliband, the CEO of the IRC, declared that it was “an excellent report” and that this was largely thanks to its design.
